Guesthouse Policies

1. Refund & Cancellation Policy

By making a booking with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Out of Season:

  • A 25% cancellation fee applies for cancellations made more than 21 days before arrival.
  • A 50% cancellation fee applies for cancellations made 14–21 days before arrival.
  • A 100% cancellation fee applies for cancellations made within 14 days of arrival, or for no-shows.

Peak Season (December, January, March, April):

  • A 100% cancellation fee applies for cancellations made 30 days or less before arrival.

Refunds:

  • All approved refunds are subject to a minimum R250 administration fee.
  • In the event of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, travel bans), exceptions may be granted at the discretion of management.

2. Property Damage & Liability

  • Guests are fully responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of property, furniture, or equipment during their stay.
  • In the case of excessive damage, guests will be billed for repair or replacement costs.
  • While we strive to provide a secure environment for your vehicle, the guesthouse cannot be held liable for vehicle-related losses (e.g., theft, break-ins).
  • The guesthouse is also not liable for personal injury, death, or loss/damage of personal belongings, unless caused by proven gross negligence on our part.
  • We strongly recommend that guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers accidents, medical emergencies, and loss or damage to personal property.

3. Late Check-In Policy

  • Standard check-in time is from 14:00 to 18:00.
  • If you expect to arrive after 18:00, please contact the guesthouse in advance to arrange a late check-in.
  • Failure to arrange a late check-in may result in your booking being marked as a no-show, with applicable charges.

4. Oversized Vehicle Parking

  • Standard parking is available free of charge for regular-sized vehicles.
  • Guests traveling with oversized vehicles (e.g., trailers, caravans, boats, trucks, or vehicles over 6 meters in length) must notify the guesthouse in advance.
  • Parking for oversized vehicles is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.
